Hi, Linda. Unfortunately, Abilify is one of those drugs that can cause weight gain. My son is on it and gained about 30 pounds; he tried going off it but began having bad symptoms again, so decided the 30 pounds was better than feeling suicidal. That's a decision you have to make with your doctor.
