Q: Why don't others understand that pushing someone is the worst thing they can do ???

I have tried so hard to let people know how bad I feel,   oh they reply... you'll get better just snap out of it. Sometimes I can't stand being around anyone and just want to be left alone. My depression is about a 9 right now, 10 being the highest...Can't think or even write at this point. Guess I should let my Dr. know next week just how bad I'm feeling. I just wish I could go to sleep and never wake up, guess we all feel that way at some point of our lives.

It's very annoying when people come out with those platitudes in response to your depression. They obviously don't have any clue. That's actually how you could respond - "I'm very happy for you that you obviously have never experienced clinical depression. It is not a passing mood - it's an illness. Please don't trivialize what I'm going through."

You definitely need to talk to your doctor, and let him or her know how severe your depression is at this point.
