What is the safest medication to treat situational depression?

I initially started taking Lexapro.  I experienced a weight gain, possibly related to Lexapro and steroids.  Recently, I was changed to wellbutrinXR.  Yesterday I was informed that wellbutrin could be the root of my disorganization at this time, which is out of character for me.  The recommendation was made for me to change zoloft due to it hitting two main receptors, which should take care of depression I experience.

Hi, there.  We aren't doctors here, but I'm giving you a link to our information on antidepressants.  It's probably best to talk this through with your doctor - there is no one medication that is "safe" for everyone or every situation, so much depends on your individual make-up.  Best of luck with finding the right solution for yourself, let us know if we can help you with any more information.
