Does Valium, since it is longer acting, work better than Klonopin for panic disorder?

Also, has anyone had any good experiences with Trazadone for Major Depression?  I've already tried all the ghastly  SSRIs and Wellbutrin to no avail.

Not to my knowledge, nor is it any longer acting than Klonopin. I'm currently on Klonopin and Xanax and trying to get off of the Xanax - the Klonopin helping immensely. Just

don't get talked into Xanax!

Was taking Trazadone for insomnia - it's worthless for depression and ended up depressing me even more, so I got off the Trazadone fast. Seemed to build up in my system over time and was groggy all day, day after taking it the night before. The only thing I can see Valium doing is being somewhat easier to get off of than Klonopin, if you ever want to. Good luck!  Joe.

Oh; Wellbutrin is only thing I've found for the depression (exercise is great), and trying some naturopathic "cures".

I always thougt that klonopin was longer acting. As for Trazadone, it does not work for me. Now I'm on Lexapro and on wellbutrin. Lexapro 20 mg. in the morning along with 450mg. of Wellbutrin also in the morning. If I survive the mornings then I'm ok. The mornings is when I feel real bad. I have a lot of problems falling asleep and have to take all kinds meds. to sleep.  But the mornings are the toughest time of day for me.

Talk to your Dr. if he or she doesn't go the extra mile for you, get another. Sooner or later  you will get the right one, as I have. But I know that there is no cure for me, just relief.

         Wish you well.
