I currently take 300 mg of Effexor XR for anxiety (and a little depression), and it definitely helps, but I would like to be able to become "Effexor free" (as some have called it) sooner rather than later.  I am currently working with a psychiatrist who knows my goal and has experience working with those going through various withdrawals.   I understand the importance of decreasing dosage very slowly (I've been there with several other medications in the past), but I sometimes wonder if I'm really ready to take less than I do now.   I was declined for health insurance coverage, so I don't feel like I can afford to see a therapist to work specifically on behavior modification and better ways to reduce and handle stress.   Do you have any suggestions or know of any free couseling available online or otherwise?   Thanks!
