i take 50 milligrams of zoloft can i break tablet in half and take other half later

Yes, according to my GP (general practitioner)  Since Zoloft is quarterized, it has a half-line indented into it, you can break it and dose half of the pill.   About taking the other half at a different time, I don't know.  I just asked if it's ok to take 200 mgs only 1 week of the month and 150 the other three months. 

I know Paxil required the same level, taken preferrably at the same time of the day, every day

I break my 50mg zoloft in half.  I couldn't handle the whole 50 at once.  I was going to start on the 25 and then move up, but the 25 a day seems to handle my anxiety well, so Im sticking with it.  I've never tried to take the other half later.  I'd say if half works for you, stick with it!  Good luck!
