Hi Carla

Prestiq is one of the newer drugs and...there isn't a whole heck of a lot of information on such things but I will do my best to find out something for you.

First of all here is the official Prestiq website to look at.

I wrote this article not so long ago about antidepressants and their effect on libido and what some people do to counteract these effects.  You may find that article here.

On this health board site some patients talk about taking Wellbutrin to help with the sexual side effects from Pristiq.

I hope others chime in with sharing their personal experience.  If you are having such side effects I strongly recommend discussing this with your doctor to see what can be done.  Thank you for your question.

I had not had an orgasm for years, due to antidepressants I'm sure because I was very functional before them. I switched to Prestiq. I can have one now but it takes a lot of work. I've also developed severe daytime jaw clenching. Not sure it is worth it.

Instead of trying Prestiq I decided to try abilify added to my wellbutrin and so far so good.  No side effects like with the ssri's which I was on for years before wellbutrin.Smile
