Hi Anne,   welbutrin: because it is not an ssri type antidepressant usually has less of an impact on the patient, not saying that it hasnt happened. It is listed as a serious side effect. Which means if you start to put on weight inform your doctor.   Welbutrin side effects are here.     Wellbutrin Oral Side Effects See also the How to Use, Precautions, and Warning sections. Nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, headache, constipation, increased sweating, joint aches, sore throat, blurred vision, strange taste in the mouth, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: chest pain fainting fast/pounding/irregular heartbeat hearing problems ringing in the ears severe headache mental/mood changes (e.g., agitation, anxiety, confusion, hallucinations) uncontrolled movements (tremor) unusual weight loss or gain What you should do is monitor your gain/loss and let your doctor know of any changes.
