Hi, there.  I would definitely tell you that you shouldn't be fooling around with the dosage without your doctor's advice.  I also take it.  If you're experiencing a lot of short-term memory loss, you need to tell your doctor, to find out if it's worth trying a different medication or if this side effect is just temporary.  Taking it every other day would not be giving you the full benefit - maybe your doctor could lower your dosage and see if it still works and possibly eliminates the short-term memory loss.  Even just a call to your doctor might settle things.  This is their specialty, assuming you have a psychiatrist.  If you don't and you don't think you're getting proper treatment, maybe you should find one.
