my dad is 75yrs old he is in kindred hospital he is on a ventelator and has a pace maker he has been in this cond. for 4 weeks is this med. okay for him seroquel

Only your father's doctor can advise you on this. There are so many things that have to be taken into consideration -- every physical condition he has, every medication he takes -- including over-the-counters and supplements.
Please do read the information in the link Paul gave you, then talk with his doctor. Remember too, that there's nothing wrong with asking for a second opinion if you're concerned.

You're going to have be guided by his doctor, or seek a second opinion if you are having doubts.
You don't say why your father is in the hospital.
