boogie,
Only your father's doctor can advise you on this. There are so many things that have to be taken into consideration -- every physical condition he has, every medication he takes -- including over-the-counters and supplements.
Please do read the information in the link Paul gave you, then talk with his doctor. Remember too, that there's nothing wrong with asking for a second opinion if you're concerned.
Best wishes,
Teri
You're going to have be guided by his doctor, or seek a second opinion if you are having doubts.
You don't say why your father is in the hospital.
You can find information about Seroquel here
Be sure to read the Precautions and Side Effects section, there is a warning there about it's use for the elderly in dementia-related behavior problems. No one here can say it is safe in any particular case or not.
