Q: I have OCD and I use Paxil. But I got so fat and I want to switch to Wellbutrin. Should I switch? How to switch (i.e. any tapering?)

I also have social anxiety and depression.

Hi, Frederiko.  This is definitely something you need to discuss with your doctor.  Paxil and Wellbutrin are not the same drug and your doctor would be the best person to suggest something else to take and exactly how to switch over.  We aren't medical professionals here, so can only talk from whatever our own experience is.  I take Wellbutrin and it helps my depression, but it doesn't do much for anxiety.  Please check with your doctor about this - you would need a prescription, anyway, for whatever you take.  Thanks for your question.
