Q: Can Zoloft cause stomach bloating, severe diarhea?

I have been having severe diarhea and bloating for about 17 years. Have been to so many Drs./hospitals to no avail. Have been taking Zoloft for many years, could this have any effect on my symptoms?

I'm on a 50 mg dose of Sertraline, the generic version of zoloft and I don't have any side effects from it. Medications can have different side effects for different people, so I would ask either your doctor or pharmacist about your problem.  I was also wondering if you had been checked for irritable bowel syndrome.  My grandma has that and also has problems with bloating and diarhea.  It would at least be another thing to check on.  I hope you figure out what's causing this soon.
