Hi, Kaura.  Can you talk to your parents at all about what's going on?  If you can't, maybe you should start with a visit to your doctor.  You can't really diagnose yourself from reading about disorders, you need a medical professional.  It sounds like you might be depressed enough to need the help of a psychologist or psychiatrist.  If you can see a psychologist, that might be the quickest way to get a diagnosis, but some psychiatric disorders can be caused by physical disorders, so it's always best to get an exam to rule out things like that.

I hope you will soon be able to find some help.  Whatever it is, there is help for it.  Thanks for reaching out here and let us know if we can be of further help.

I am not very social, me and my mother arnt home together often either and i dont like shareing my problems with her since she just says im fine or judges me for suggesting that i may need help for things... I did break my hand i got so depressed, which i still need to go to the doctor for, but im scared that they will put me on pills or something just so i cant be who i naturally am. Ive been depressed most my life, most of it started after my first break up when i had my bf for 2 years, i blamed that mainly for any depression i had..(since it left me depressed for 5 years.)

Kaura, if your mother knew you were so depressed that you broke your hand, I think she would be very concerned and want to get you some help.  You WILL need to get your hand taken care of, so at the very least, talk to the doctor who helps you - they are trained to screen for depression.  If you end up being prescribed antidepressants, please don't worry that they will make you someone you're not - the depression is someone you're not naturally, so would you not want to be different from that?  No, they will help you be the person you want to be, if they work.  You may need psychotherapy, as well.  You need to develop some skills for managing it.  Untreated depression tends to make it easier to get depressed again.  I hope you will think about this and start taking care of yourself.  Let us know how you're doing, okay?

MANY people knew I was mentally depressed practiclly due to my experiances in life, my mother is almost never home so she doesin't know when im sad or crying. And yes my hand already got x-rayed and acully today going to doctor for it, and recently I need to talk to my doctor for something anyways; something idiotic I did from being so depressed but not mentioning since im not sure if I can on this site. And I know it may not make me someone else.. but i've been depressed for MORE then half my life SO FAR  and it just seems thats who I am now. One more thing, yes im surpost to be asking my doctor what to do about my depression, today im talking to him privatly about that. Once something happens and may help ill tell you, thanks for the help.

Kaura, I'm glad you're going to talk to your doctor.  There are many people out there who can help, but they have to be aware of what's going on to get you that help.  So, I hope you'll be honest with your doctor.  I also hope you'll let us know what comes out of your visit.

By the way, you can talk about anything here - it's a pretty sure bet that someone else on this site has been in the same boat or done the same things.  We all try to cope in some way and the main thing is that we learn to cope in healthier ways.  Take care, and hope to hear from you again!
