feeling anxious and depressed
just need some assistance --I am a professional, went to an m/d for assistance. said he could not help me, for depression, because he did not know me. ---felt overwhelmed,-- actually wanted to say to him --shame on you------
don't really have an m.d. , because I am never in need{ no excuse] I know medications-- I know s/s of depression. I have an employee asst. program , I could go to -- but that is really just to talk, they do not prescribe medications. have an appt. with an md I used in the past , but because I have not been there in over 3 yrs-- I have to wait. I don't want to feel this way. Not really sure if I need meds--what do you think?
You might want to see if your local hospital has a mental health clinic that can fit you in sooner, or try to get an earlier appointment with the MD and impress on them that you are in crisis. You could also ask them if there's a psychiatrist that they recommend and just make an appointment with him or her, assuming you don't need the MD's referral.
