Insomnia on wellbutrin...should I quit, or lower my dose?

Topics:Side Effects of wellbutrin

I started taking 150 mg XL Budeprion (Wellbutrin) in the morning. After about 5 days, I started having insomnia. I'd wake up about 3:30 am & couldn't get back to sleep. Then I'd start feeling like a speed freak, exhausted but racing around, with palpitations & scattered thoughts.  Should I lower my dose to maybe every other day, two out of 3 days, or just quit altogether?

Hi Laura,

Anytime you have a reaction that worries you, you should call your doctor and at least speak with a nurse about your concerns.

Good luck,

Pat
