i've been on prozac since dec.07 i stopped taking them in may08 should i start taking them again?

I've been on prozac since Dec. 2007 and i stopped taking them in May 2008 i have been feeling emotional, depressed, worthless i started taking them today again but i want a second opinion on what i should do.

It seems like you essentially answered your own question, as it sounds like you started feeling depressed again after stopping the Prozac, but you should really be talking to your doctor about this.

Just keep taking it. I have been on it for 20 years, several times I quit because I didn't think it was working, I just felt worse and so irritable. I am still depressed but will not quit again. The Doctor increased it from 20 mgs. to 30 and my thoughts were spinning so fast that I had to cut it back down. Good Luck.
