Hey Daniele
Let me first give you the link to information regarding Xanax found right here on Health Central. It seems there can be withdrawl symptoms and especially if you abruptly go off of it so I would not do anything without a doctor's guidance.
I did research your question and it seems there are different opinions. You can find how some people answer this question here.
Your best bet is to call either your doctor or your local pharmacy to get an accurate answer to your question.
Hope things work out for you. Take care.
I am only guessing but if I take my 3 doses a day of .5mg the next morning I do not need to take another one until lunch time the next day. This means that if I take my last one at 10pm, I don't need one 15 hrs after a dose of .15 (a days worth and at 6hrs apart and last dose at 10pm. So how long does it stay in your system I would say 24-30 hrs.
It depends on your metabolism; however, the average person will keep in in their system for 10 days. Oddly, I get this prescribed and have been taking it for about 10 years due to severe anxiety attacks, and I was urine tested at the doctors office a couple months ago, but nothing showed up. We figured it was because I drink a lot of water and in the mornings and evenings I take fiber supplements again with water. So about 4-5 bottles of water and it will not show up anywhere!
