Q: New user feeling "high" - is that normal?

I've been on Lexapro 20 mg for about two years.  Recently, it seemed to be working less and less.  My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin two days ago and I'm feeling weird - almost high/light-headed.  Is that just because my body's not used to it yet and will eventually go away?

Also note that I am on the generic...several posts have mentioned that it's much less effective than the brand.  What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi, there.  I also take the generic and I've been on it so long, I can't really tell you if it's less effective or not, but I do know that when I've increased the dosage, I sometimes get like a "wired" effect.  I'm pretty sure this will pass before too long.  You're probably on a low dose right now, I would guess, since you're just starting it.  It's been the only one that has worked for me to any degree, so I hope you have good luck with it, too.  Enjoy the high!
