Q: I was wondering if Ativan could cause depression?

I have been taking it for about 3 months.   My depression seem to be worse.

Yes, depression is listed as a potential side effect of Ativan. It's time to talk to your doctor. He may want to adjust your dosage, change your medication to something else. Stopping Ativan should be done under a doctor's supervision.

Ativan is a quick fix. You should be over with depression within 5mins. Keep popping them and you won't be depressed. Long term, you might need to try something else.
