Q: .She as taken fluoxetine and citalopram in the past but, the latter for only a few weeks.Should she take this drug or would it be better to try the others again?Thank you.

Hi, there.  You are referring to your daughter, I assume.  This is a decision that must be made with the doctor.  Is she seeing a psychiatrist?  Are there side effects from the citalopram, or are you thinking it's not working?  It can take a month or more for a drug to reach its full effectiveness so you really need to give it a chance unless side effects are impossible to live with.  Every drug works differently for different people, so there's no one answer to what might be best for your daughter - only her doctor would be able to come to a rational decision about that.
