Q: If you have had some type of therapy to deal with your axiety I'd like to hear from you. I've been advised to seek professional help. What happens and is it effective? Just curious.

Hi, there.  Therapy can be a lot of different things, depending on the therapist and how you want to work, but you would learn some techniques for managing your anxiety and figure out what the triggers are for it.  You would probably be talking a lot about your feelings and beliefs and deciding how you could change things so that your life is less anxiety-ridden.  You might even be referred to a psychiatrist to see if medication might help.  I've been treated for both depression and anxiety and sometimes just talking things out helps a lot.  But it requires work and commitment on your part in order for it to be effective.  If you are able to do it, I would encourage you to give it a try as it could make your life a lot easier.

We do have an Anxiety site that you might find helpful.  I wish you the best.
