stacy
10/07/09

I have tried lexapro and it wasnt helping. Im about to go back to the doctor again for round 2. I am getting pretty frustrated. I dont feel good, i dont feel like myself, im tired all the time, frustrated, my poor family and what i am putting them through. I am really tired of the weight gain and the loss of interest in sex and THAT is very frustrating. Can someone PLEASE suggest something that might work for me, something i can suggest to the doctor?

Stacy, everybody's chemistry is different, so something that works well for someone else might not work for you - unfortunately, there is sometimes a lot of trial and error.  I take Wellbutrin and really do not have any side effects, but it's not a drug to take if you've ever had seizures.  Your doctor is really the best person to work with.  Some drugs take a month or two to start working.  It's not unusual to have to try several different medications before finding the right one.  That's probably not what you want to hear, but it's the truth.  Have you talked with your family about what you're going through?  Sometimes just being open about it helps them understand that you're not just trying to make their lives miserable!  Hope you soon find the right medication and are feeling better; you can write here any time for support.  Take care.
