What do I do about withdrawal depression from prescription drugs?

I was on the fentanyl patch for 3 months when my supply was stolen, and I had to endure "cold turkey" withdrawal which has lasted a month. I have been so physical sick, I didn't know what to do. My psychiatrist, now has placed me on remeron to help get over the depression that follows.
