Q: support groups for family members?

are there support groups for family members of depressed individuals to assist them? I live in Virginia Beach and my husband has recently been diagnosed with severe depression and I am looking for assistance with how to deal with this and help him.

Hello

I am sure that there are...you just have to find one.  Why don't you start with NAMI...the National Alliance on Mental Illness and call their information line:

1 (800) 950-NAMI (6264), Monday through Friday, 10 am- 6 pm, Eastern time.

Let me know if this helps...if not we can look some more.

Thank you for your question.
