Hello Patti

This is an excellent question for your doctor or pharmacist.

I am also going to the link to our Migraine site where they may have more information about how these meds work to prevent migraines.

We did a member medication review on Wellbutrin where you can read about how others have fared on this medication.  In the literature...this med is said to not cause weight gain as other antidepressants may do.  Remember that everyone is unique in how they react to any particular med.

Here too is a question asked by a member on the migraine site about the use of wellbutrin as a prevention med for migraines.

I would discuss your options with your doctor.

Thanks so much for your question.
