Hi "g"

I think if you ask this question of ten different people you will get ten different answers.  There are side effects to all the antidepressant medications.  And sometimes you can experience rare and strange side effects you don't anticipate.  I took Prozac thinking this was a no brainer...it has tons of research behind it...it has been out there for a long time...not many withdrawal symptoms if I decided to stop taking it.  But I had a rare side effect of it affecting my bladder.  It was so bad I had to cease taking it.

The point of my story is...you won't know how a particular drug will affect you until you take it.  Nothing is written in stone.

I would not advise looking for an antidepressant to use to sleep away your days.  If you need help sleeping at night, ask your doctor for help with that.  But an antidepressant should not be used for that purpose.

Here is an article from the Mayo Clinic about how to choose an antidepressant and which classes of meds have the least side effects.

Do some research on the different meds...I am afraid nobody can tell you which will be right for you.

Thank you for your question.
