Hey Destaney   This is a really good first step you are taking to acknowledge that depression is causing problems for you and that you want some help.  If it is medication that you seek, you will need to see an MD to prescribe anything to you.  Since you are a teen, it would be good if you could get your parents help and support in this.   Do you have a family doctor that you go to?  I would start there and they can either prescribe something themselves if they feel comfortable doing that or they will give a recommendation of who you can see.  If you feel comfortable talking to a school counselor, they too could probably give you a list of doctors you could see.    Medication is usually just one part of treatment, however.  Seeing a counselor or therapist to talk about your problems might be a good idea too.    Let us know how things go for you.  You don't have to suffer needlessly.  This is a good thing that you are ready to take action in order to help yourself.
