hi my name is brenda and i am getting ect's r shock treatments right now i also take a few meds and have a vns. i do think that ect's work i am much better than  wa when  started a few months ago i started out gettng 3 a week and now i'm what they call tthmaintenance and get them once a month. i don't know how lonfg i will be getting them but i do feel that they work for treatment resistant patents like myself. i have also taken almost every med out there, i've been hospitalized severaltimes and done counseling.sorry for my bad typing. i live in south dakota and they do ect's here in my home town a small town of 14000, and also in sioux fallswhere i go. i don't understand whyyou can't find someone to do them. keep trying. good luck.
