You can talk to the counselors and tell them anything they should know, they just can't tell you what she talks about.   I do believe that people can be sensitive to paranormal phenonemon, but that wouldn't explain why she's cutting herself.  Usually, it's done to release emotional pain, yes.   Other family members should be told to just keep quiet about it because it isn't helpful for them to dismiss her that way.  It will only make her feel more alone.  It's not easy, she can't just get over it.   Hope she gets the right help, I think it's normal that she doesn't want to talk to you at her age, she might feel guilty for being like this, so I wouldn't push it.  Just be available in case she wants to.  You're doing the best you can, God bless you for that.
