Q: trazadone and IBS what are the side effects

My daughter has been prescribed trazadone for IBS.  Recently she has been experiencing headaches and when having a few alcoholic beverages had two brief seizure like episodes of lost consciousness for about 10 second two times.  Her PCP advised she stops taking trazadone but her gastroenterologist says that trazadone is not causing the headaches and had no effect on the recent seizure like episodes.  Can you shed any light on the effects of trazadone and alcohol?

Well, trazadone is also prescribed as sleeping medication; so, mixing alcohol with it may have caused those episodes.
