Q: my boyfriend started taking zoloft 2 months ago but continues to use heroine. he is acting paranoid and suspicious to the point of extreme, he also has become violent.

He truly believes people are deceiving him and laughing at him behind his back. I tried to explain using a depressant with an anti depressant would be fruitless if not dangerous. Is this correct?

Hi, Kendra.  Yes, you are correct, not to mention the fact that heroin is illegal and his doctor probably doesn't know he's taking it.  Maybe someone should inform his doctor of this if he won't.  If he's violent toward you, you can call the police.  Hopefully, he's seeing his doctor or talking to him regularly.  He could probably also use a therapist to help him see reality.

Take care of yourself and I hope you can convince him to talk to his doctor.
