most recently changed meds to prozac 80mg daily. what is normal safe dose?

also wonder what the correlation is between sleep apnea and depression.

The "safe" dose depends on your body and what other medicaitons you're taking. The adult dosages suggested in the prescribing information are:

• 20 - 60 mg/day for major depressive disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder

• 60 mg/day for bullimia

• 20 mg/day for panic disorder

 

Any sleep disorder can exacerbate depression. If you have sleep apnea, it's very important to be treated for it.
