Hi Brad, As I'm sure you are only too aware your TBI may have long lasting implications to your health. Do you happen to know what area(s) of the brain were affected as a result of trauma? It may help if we can tease out the issues however. You mention a 30 year problem but say the past decade has been bad. As Judy suggests, if you can provide more detail we can maybe offer more specific support, although as a forum this has certain limitations. The tone of your message suggests you feel very down and the attempts by medical staff to help over the years may not have achieved as much as you hoped. Sometimes it really can help just to get things off your chest. Jerry Reply

Hi, Brad.  I'm sorry you've had to suffer so much.  Have you been diagnosed with depression and, if so, do you have a psychiatrist and/or therapist?  We aren't medical professionals but we can share our experiences here.  If you're depressed, sometimes it's difficult to find the right treatment, I know.  And I'm sure being in pain every day doesn't help.  Have you had or are you in treatment for pain management?  And, of course, there are a bunch of alternative treatments like acupuncture that some people find helpful.

Would it help at all to talk a bit more about what you've been going through?  Please let us know how we can help.
