Q: Seratonin syndrome

my 29 year old son takes Prozac and also uses Ambien at night to sleep.  2 weeks ago he had a sinus infection and his dr presribed him an antibiotic. One week ago, in the middle of the night, he started experiencing terrible tremors.  He has had no stressful events that would of triggered this.  Could  his serotonin levels be too high and causing him to tremor?

Hi, Cindy.  We aren't medical professionals on this site and the person who could best answer this question is your son's doctor or, possibly, a pharmacist.  He should be sure that if he is seeing more than one doctor that they all know about each of the medications he is on.  He should get those tremors checked out.  I wish I could be of more help, but I'm not qualified to answer your question.  Thank you, though, for coming to our site and I hope things work out well for your son.
