Hi Sophie!

I have never heard of Vicodin being used to treat depression.  Most commonly it is used for relief of severe pain.  You can read the information we have about Vicodin here.

It is also considered to be an addictive substance for some.

Just wondering the reason for your question.  I would definitely consult with your doctor on this question.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Sophie.  This is going out on a limb, but I suppose you could say that Vicodin could help depression by taking away pain that might be making you depressed!  Other than that, I don't think anybody would get prescribed that for depression - even if it worked, it's addictive.
