Q: Withdrawal for Effexor

3 weeks ago my dr. had me on 225 mg. of effexor, I suffered 2 seizures. She changed it to 150 mg, l more seizure she changed to 75 mg. 3 days later 37.5 mg, and only gave me 10 days and no more. That was Wed, and I feel like I am going through really bad withdrawals. I can't get a hold of her, What can I do it is getting worse,

she said she doesn't think effexor has anything to do with it a quote from her "maybe it tipped the scales."

This, in my opinion, does not sound good at all.  This drug is absolutely known for horrible withdrawals and must be tapered slowly from everything that I have heard about and read.  As soon as you can...you need to get a hold of this doctor and tell her what is going on.

I am so sorry you are going through this.  Hang on until you can call her for better help.  Maybe you could even ask the pharmacist.
