Hi, there.  Are you seeing a therapist or psychiatrist and are you on any medications for anxiety.  These things can help that.  I do know what you mean about feeling worse when you're alone, so do I.  It sounds like you need a way to meet some people.  Is there anyone you've met that you'd like to know better?  Maybe you could invite them to have coffee or something and see how things go.  A therapist, though, could probably help you with some good strategies for coping with being alone because we can't be with other people all the time - we all want to feel comfortable with ourselves!

Don't know if this was much help, but am hoping you will soon feel better and find some ways to reach out to more people.

Hi. thank you for answering my SOS message. I see a psychiatrist but can't afford to see a therapist. I am presently on Klonopin twice a day. I don't know anyone I can invite for coffee. I wished I did. I do go to a support group 3 times a week that helps some but then when I have to go back home to a empty apartment the anxiety starts and loneliness sets in. The antidepressants I'm on doesn't help and the klonopin will help some but not for long. I feel like I'm doomed.

Hi, again.  I have some information here on how to find help when you don't have money or insurance - maybe you can find a way to see a therapist.  Pills don't help everything.  You are fortunate you can go to a support group that often; do other people in it live alone?  I think a lot of people are anxious when they're alone, but I think you can learn to be comfortable with it, with the right tools.  I think a goal most people would want to achieve is being happy in their own skin, or at least being content.  Good luck - I don't think you're doomed because you are trying to do something to make things better!
