Q: anyone taken cymbalta after effexor?

yes, I am taking it now,about 6 months. No depression but I still  have ringing,swooshing sounds in my ears alot and itching with no parasites,etc. that could cause it. do not like being on addictive drugs, prozac was great until I became immune to it.  Good Luck to You  sandy

Yeah I did. I switched over immediately to prevent discontinuation symtoms and it was fine. I just felt a bit uncomfortable for a couple of days.

Yes, I found the effexor was not doing the job for me,I like the cymbalta better, I do not have any more breakthrough depression, been on it since march. I ust do not like the fact that both are addictive meds and was unaware of it when I agreed to try it after 14 years on prozac which worked great until I became immune to it. Good Luck to you! Sandy
