Q: Is there a simple high energy diet to follow when being treated for depression?

Hi I am single and being treated for depression.One thing that really suffers when you are depressed is diet.I am working in all areas to better myself except diet.I skip meals eat a lot of take out and some junk food.I find that the last thing I want to do is shop when I am depressed.Is there a simple high energy diet that I could follow that would help me and make my time in the grocery store easier.If anybody knows of a website or has any ideas that they have tried it would help me alot.THANKYOU FOR YOUR HELP

Hello, Hope.  I think if you try to stick to whole foods and protein, you will probably be doing the best you can diet-wise.  Fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans, cheese are all good for you - get organic if you can with the fruits and vegetables.  It's no guarantee that this will help your depression, but it's certainly good for your body!
