Q: how do I help a friend that wants to commit suicide,and has a date for it?by the way,they are going out,and she wants to break up with suicideboy?he wants to know something,and she wont tell him HELP!
If nothing else, if you really believe that he is going to attempt suicide and Sunday comes along, call the police and ask them to do a welfare check on him. Tell them why you think he is in danger. If they determine that he is a danger to himself, they can probably get him hospitalized and evaluated for treatment.
I'm sure this is very stressful to watch this scenario unfold, but you can only do so much. Have you talked to him about getting some help? Offer to go with him if he's reluctant to go by himself. Hopefully, he won't go through with it. I wish you all the best and hope your friend changes his mind.
If you believe that there is serious risk, you could contact this persons family or specifically a guardian if they are under 18. The risk of suicide means that this person may need to be hospitaliized until they are no longer a risk to themselves. Your friend might hate you for it at first, but in the long run they will see how you care and how it will help them.
You might also want to speak to his girlfriend and see what her side of the story is. Maybe you can speak to her about his behaviour to find out what has been happening recently that might cause this suicidal intention, and maybe even find out what could help him.
By the way, I suggest that you avoid words like "emo" as they have a stigma attatched and can affect the way that people view the mentally ill. I know how much it has in my community, and I wouldn't want that for others.
I see how this is complex. These things often are. I'm sorry to hear about his family. I bet they are a huge part of his problems.

I agree with the idea of getting the police or even an ambulance to come check up on him at the time he said he will commit suicide. Hopefully being hospitalized this time might be more successful? There isn't much else you can do, other than try counsel him.
he is like stronger from the first time he did it .. and well, I dont really want to get that involved .. he would liike go on anbsp; murder hunt for me ,... not that he is that destructive .. but he is like supper man .. i dont know how .. but he is like strong.. we had a ping pong fight .. and we sortta gave eachother bruises .. but mine kept going like a green colour .. by the way .. we were shooting them acros the table ... but uhhm, he just is really depressed and he doesnt know I know .. he told my friend .. who told me .. and I jsut dont want him to feel that we aren't his friends .. but he just .. :( .. just .. well, er ... he just tries to resist the help.
I hope you can sorrta have another idea, that doesnt involve hospitalization and the authorities... and the ping pong thing was a for fun game .. not a litterly Im guunna kill you game :) thanks for everything though

Well If its still possible and they haven't commited yet, all you have to do is check out the Yellow ribbon site for your state. They give you alot of advice and they have a 24 hour hotline to help. The hotline number is 1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255)

its just that...hes been there before, and he got tottaly stonger out of it .. I tried to punch him for being mean to me .. and welll, its like he is iron man.. no seriously... it really hurt! :( .. but he got like way stronger from it.. and Ive been to his house( hisorica fair) but uhh, his parents are like mean, I only saw his dad, but I see how the mother might even be... and his father .. he just like didnt care about him.. like the dad just went to see how the little brother was doing .. if you could help, with how to stop his parents causing of it.. it might help.. thanks though!! :) <3
