Topics:Celexa and Nausea

I have been on Celexa 6 days and am having nausea. Do you think it will eventually go away? I also deal with anxiety and have a very hard time to leave the house.

I have been on many antidepressants in the past 2 years, even ECT just in July. Then I had to move again and that is a great stressor in my life. I have moved 4 times in 4 years. I went through a divorce a year ago. My daughter started college and moved out after she graduated high school in '06. I was on Pristiq before this and was so nauseated and once I stopped the med it went away. I am at the end of my "ropes".  I am seeing a psychiatrist.

Any good news would be welcomed.

Hello!

Depression is a personal health issue for me....

Sunday, October 11, 2009

I certainly hope the nausea will stop! Nausea s so miserable. Unfortunately, nobody can really tell you if it will or not. Side effects such as nausea often do go away, but the only way to know is wait and see.

Sorry. I know that's not the kind of answer you were hoping for. It certainly wouldn't be my choice of answers either.

If it doesn't let up soon, you know to talk with your doctor, right?

Something that has helped me with nausea from meds at times is peppermint. Not a great solution, but maybe it would help some while you wait to see if it stops.

Please keep us posted?

Teri
