I think I have depression caused by taking Femara (letrozole) for breast cancer, what sort of treatment is advised when taking letrozole and allopurinol?  I take the allopurinol as the letrozole has raised my levels of uric acid and given me gout.

Hi there

I have to tell you that I am not familiar with any of these medications and also I am not a doctor so...what I am going to do is to send you over to our Breast Cancer site.

You can tell PJ that I sent you...she is the leader for that site and I hope she is familiar with some of these medications.  But my main suggestion is for you to discuss this with your doctor.  This is the person who will know best how to advise you.

Thank you for your question.
