Q: what is the best medicine to treat p.t.s.d.?

The FDA approves Sertraline (Zoloft) and Paroxetine (Paxil) for the treatment of PTSD. Both belong to the same group of medications called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors - or SSRI's.
The recommended treatment of PTSD involves psychotherapy with or without medication. Here's a post I wrote earlier entitled treating PTSD with medication.
