Does smoking interfere with antidepressant meds? I feel like it does. Any input on this? Thank you,

I have breakthrough depression while on Effexor and feel that smoking may be related. Any knowledge on this is most appreciated.

I was not able to find any evidence that specifically points to this, but your experience is what is really important in this situation, as everyone body and chemical makeup is different. Some substance produced by smoking may indeed be interfering with your antidepressant.
