on cymbalta off effexor

anyone having anxiety after going on cymbalta and off effexor? Had breakthrough depression at times on effexor 3 years but have anxiety on cymbalta for 8 days. Thank you, Sandy

I have been transitioning from effexor onto Cymbalta for about three weeks now, and often feel overwhelmingly anxious: like to the level of panic attacks. I sometimes have a feeling of doom and sadness in my chest, and I feel like crying. I switched from Effexor because I thought I could do better than the effect I was getting and also, because it was raising my blood pressure. Now I'm not sure I made the right choice. Also, when I take it at night, I feel uncomfortably drowsy, and I seem to need hours more sleep since I've started it.
