Hi Sandy

I know...you have really been struggling haven't you?  But nine days just isn't enough time for your medication to truly kick in.

I want you to call your doctor and ask what to do in the meantime while you wait for the medication to take effect.  Do you have a therapist to talk to?

Please don't feel desperate.  Call your doctor and ask what to do.  You should not suffer like this.

Tell us how things go okay?

Thank you so much for your support, it means so much to me in this tough period. Never expected this at all, Dr. is out of town on vacation but I have a call in to the office. So! Thank you again, feeling desperate is an awful thing, I think you yourself know that. Thank YOu, Sandy

Dear Sandy,

Over Christmas time I was on the Pristiq starter kit.  I didn't experience any relief either, in fact I cried through the holidays.  Pristiq is a drug that takes weeks to kick in, that's the downside.  The good news is it can be a terrific drug for some people.  I hope it works for you.  I was taken off of it before it really had a chance to "do it's thing."  I'm now on Effexor and Mertazipine (sp!) and am starting to feel better.  I also see a therapist every week in additiion to my meds.  I've joined a fitness center and work out three times a week.  Before I did this, even a walk lifted me up a little. You may want to start fish oil capsules.  The jury is still out on that one, but many specialists in this field recommend them.  Great news!  I also found a depression support group in my town-women only.  It's done wonders for me.  Oh, one more thing, I do a lot of journaling, and it does help to get my feelings down on paper.  Take Care, Babou
