Hi, there.  I don't know much about Remeron, only that I was told it can make you gain weight!  I've taken Trazadone for long periods of time and I think it's pretty safe, from what I've heard.  In the beginning, when you first take, you might feel like you're really loopy, but as your body gets used to it, it's easier to tolerate.  You want to take it when you're ready to go to bed, not too soon before because it can hit fast.

 

Hope this helps some, but you could also talk to a pharmacist or your doctor about the pros and cons of each.
