Q: Can I take citalopram 40mg and paroxetine 3.0mg together or what is the safe doseage?

Sufferd all my life with anitixy and social issues, I was put on citalopram 40mg and saw no help. Was switched to paroxetine 30 mg, seeing some help but not there yet. I do have some citalopram on hand. thought about taking 1/2 pill of citalopram with paroxetine.

Hi, there.  We aren't medical professionals here, and this is something you absolutely need to talk with your doctor about.  You don't know if combining these things is safe and it's best to get your doctor's input - he/she might have some other ideas about what to try. Are you getting any other kind of help for your anxiety, such as therapy?  I'm sure you're very impatient to find something that works, but hope you will check with your doctor before trying to combine things.

Thanks for your question and I hope you can find some relief soon.
