37 y/o female, Registered Nurse. I think I have had depression/anxiety since a traumatic childhood. I have been treated intermittently but now with major depression. My father died from Cancer about a year ago also. I am on the max dose of Zoloft and about to run out of meds. I haven't had private insurance in about a year, now the insurance I have does not cover mental health issues. I am trying to get help. Any idea's?

Here is a sharepost written by Merely Me earlier this year on how to get mental health help when you have no insurance.  I sincerely hope you find it helpful and can continue with your medication.  You can also talk to your doctor about this, who might be able to give you some guidance on this, as well.  I wish you the best of luck.

Hi RN,

As far as finding a mental health practitioner, check Merely Me's post.  As you probably now, Zoloft is available as a generic, Sertraline.  Unfortunately Sertraline is not included on the special $4 generic lists at Walmart, Target, etc.

But....Sertraline is included in the program at RxOutreach.com.  It will run you $35 per 90-day supply, regardless of dosage.  Costco.com lists 180 pills for $37.  Drugstore.com lists 180 pills for $45.  (prices as of today's date)

Fortunately there are options available to obtain your meds.
