Hello Lisa

When did you suddenly stop taking the Prozac?  You say out of stubborness?  Can you tell us more about your decision.  I really think it would be a good idea to talk to your doctor about this.  It is generally not a good idea to go cold turkey with meds.

Here is some information about Prozac from Health Central.

I have been on Prozac and weaned myself off with no problems at all.  I do believe that out of all the antidepressants...Prozac is one with the least withdrawal symptoms.  Now if you were going cold turkey with Effexor this would be an entirely different situation.  Probably one of the biggest withdrawal symptoms I would worry about is your depression coming back.  Do you have some sort of plan for that?

I am reading that some prozac withdrawal symptoms may include tiredness, headache and anxiety but that these go away in a short time.

My recommendation to you...TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR!

I hope things work out for you.
